Darragh McGreevy, Senior consultant

Profile
Darragh is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with substantial experience acquired across a variety of sectors and regions. Since gaining his degree in 1998, Darragh has worked at all levels of the supply chain from specialist subcontractors, Tier 1 main contractors to developers, both domestically and internationally.
After moving to Liverpool to obtain a degree in quantity surveying, Darragh relocated to London where he worked for two Tier 1 main contractors between 1998 and 2004 followed by a move to Dubai. In this time, Darragh worked for the largest main contractor in the region at the time (Arabtec) on several notable projects including the Jumeirah Beach Residence and the
Anantara Hotel and Tiara Residences projects on the Palm Jumeirah worth several hundred US$m combined.
Darragh then worked in house for a regional developer within the Sports City development in Dubai taking projects from concept through to handover and final account before returning to contracting in 2009. At this time, Darragh joined a specialist electrical subcontractor and progressed to commercial director with them. During his eight year stay with them he delivered many land mark projects in the region including the Burj Khalifa, the Ferrari World Experience in Abu Dhabi, the Pentominium Tower, Dubai and the Midfield Terminal Building at Abu Dhabi International Airport.
In these roles, Darragh has been involved in many high value – and complex disputes, some of which have been resolved through arbitration. As commercial director in his last role in the region, Darragh has appointed claims consultants, expert services providers and legal teams liaising with them through all stages of disputes.
After 13 years overseas, Darragh returned home to Ireland in 2017 and has applied his substantial experience to the Irish and UK markets in providing commercial management and claims consultancy services.
